Can't Follow a Premium Account

I really need help here. I recently got a premium account and I use it on my iPhone 6. Now I have two Spotify accounts—one free, one Premium. When I look up my free account to follow as a friend while logged into my Premium account, it doesn't show up. Can Premium accounts follow free accounts? I also cannot find any of the playlists I made on my free account. When I look up my Premium account while logged into my free account, it doesn't show up either. Is it just that Premium accounts and free accounts can't follow each other or is this just a glitch?

Help would be much appreciated.
