Hi
Don't know if i am in the right place but I need some help.
I have premium Spotify which I have been paying using GCASH, I want to change it to my BPI Debit card but when I go to my account and choose update payment method it doesn't list an option for bank cards.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

Welcome to the Community and thank you for joining the conversation.
 

If you're the Family plan owner, you can change your payment method to another card or PayPal anytime you want keeping the same plan. However, since Google Pay Billing (GPB) works as a third party subscription, you'll need to cancel your current subscription, wait until your account reverts back to free and subscribe again to the new Family plan using the GPB option.
 

Keep in mind that this process will cancel the current plan and create a new one, so you'll need to send the invites again to the other members.

As a heads up, since members can only change plans once every 12 months, if the invited account doesn't meet that requirement, they'll get an error message when trying to join your new plan, so keep that in mind before making the change to avoid any issues.

We hope you don't mind us moving your post, as it fits better here in this thread.

 

In this case, would you mind trying to update the payment method from a different device than the one you've been using? Give it a try and let us know how it goes. 

 

If that doesn't do the trick, can you send us a screenshot of what you see on your side when trying to update the payment method? Be aware this is a public space, so please don't share any personal info on the screenshot you'll send us.

thanks for putting it in the right place.
I tried from my mobile and from my PC and it only gives the 3 options.
I am attaching the screenshot.
I hate having to remember to load gcash before renewal.

We appreciate the efforts you've put into this. You've mention that you've attached screenshot, but we can't see them, so we were not able to get a better understanding. 

 

On another note, would you mind letting us know what type of Premium Subscription do you have? It's worth mentioning that that if you have a Family plan and you're a family member, you can't change the payment method because the Family owner is the one who's in charge of payments. If that's the case and if you'd like to change the way the family owner is getting charged - you should ask them to update the payment method on their account page.

 

If the above is not the case, we'd suggest giving this a shot in an incognito window to avoid the possible issues that the data stored in your browser may cause.

Hi! I am experiencing the same thing. I am using 1 Premium account

 

I want to change the payment method to my credit card. It's so hassle to send money to my Gcash for the payment.

 

But when I tried to update the payment method there only 3 options

  1. Gcash
  2. ShopeePay
  3. Pay by Mobile

Thanks for reaching out. Since this is a somewhat older thread, could you confirm if the same behaviour happens using an incognito window and on different devices as previously suggested? Let us know so we can have a look. If you haven't tried these steps, please do so.

I just need help to make sure I can be able to pay

Hello, 

 

I have the opposite problem. I want to change the payment method from my debit card to Gcash but it won't let me. I have only 3 options (Saved Visa, Debit or Credit, and PayPal). I am currently subscribed to Spotify Premium Family and I am the account manager (if this helps). Thank you!

I'm also having the same issue and it seems Spotify isn't aware of this issue nor have they tried to resolve this. I am trying to update my premium account's payment method from Gcash to Credit Card but it only shows three options: Gcash, Mobile and I forgot the other one. It doesn't give you the option to change to a credit card.
