Can't find student discount for paypal users

I have been searching to switch to student now that I have enrolled to a college, but when I try to sign up it tries to give me a credit card. I have been paying with paypal for a while, but there is no option for that with the Student when I go there. Is there any possible way to do that or do I have to use a credit card to get the student discount.
