I just bought a gift card yesterday and now i'm trying to redeem it but it says my gift card is not redeemable, is this a common issue? Do i need to attempt it multiple times?

Note that Spotify gift cards can only be used for Premium Individual plans; you can’t use them for Premium Student, Premium Family, Premium Duo, or trial offers.
I recommend checking the code’s characters and trying different combinations; sometimes a zero looks like an O, or a capital ‘i’ looks like a lowercase L.
I also suggest trying from a private/incognito window, to see if the issue persists.
If you’re still experiencing issues with redeeming your gift card, I recommend contacting Customer Support so that they can have a closer look backstage.
