Can't switch from premium to any other plan

Can't switch from premium to any other plan

Hi,

I'm on my browser, trying to start a Family premium account, switching from Premium single, but I get the error that it's not possible. I have the same error when trying to use the Duo, so I'm not sure what is not working.

I do have a stored payment method, and I haven't switched my accounts in recent times.

What can I do to do the switch?

Hey @liza245,

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

We'd like to gather some details about what you kindly mentioned above. It'll help us a lot if you send us a screenshot of any error you received when trying to change your plan.

Note: Be aware this is a public space, so please don't share any personal info on the screenshot you'll send us.

On another note, we'd suggest trying to change your Premium plan using a different device. You can open an incognito window there and try to change the plan to check if you notice any difference in this behavior.

Hello,

I am looking to do something similar in that we have a family plan, but I would like to have my daughter change to the student plan and I'm going to cancel the family plan since she's really the only one needing premium features now.  My concern mostly is that when we switched the the family plan some years back, she lost all of her playlists (many hours of organizing) and I do not want that to happen again, particularly now since she has years of continually re-organizing her playlists.  What is the correct process for us to accomplish the change with no loss of features or saved lists/settings?  Thank you.

Hey there @AnotherSav

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community!

No worries, you can cancel the subscription anytime you want by following the steps here. Your and the members' accounts will revert to the free service once the Premium time you already paid for is over, you can confirm the exact date here. You won't lose any content when your accounts revert to the free service, your daughter will only need to re-download her tracks when she has Premium again. She just needs to make sure when she re-subscribes (this time to the student discount) she logs in with the correct info to her account.

Hope this helps. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.
