I’ve received notice of a $2 rate increase on my Premium Duo account. The email message I’ve received states, “We’re increasing the price of Premium Duo so that we can continue to invest in and innovate on our product offerings and features, and bring you the best experience.”
what exactly does this mean? What specifically will Spotify be doing to “invest in and innovate” on your product offerings in order to bring me the best experience? Naturally, whether I keep my account fully depends upon the specifics. Please provide details.

Stop arguing with me. You’re incorrect. Take your lazy cap off and access some reports. Spotify has public earnings reports. Do you need some help in finding them?
Also, the way they pay artists is relative because they have more royalty shares because they have more users.

Hey, I have a question, why I have to pay more and more for Spotify Premium and not getting any new features for last couple years, only UI changes. Why in other countries they get DJ function, audio books and probably more cool stuff for the same cost?

The price increases on Duo is really frustrating. I understand that services cost money to run, however the difference between 6 accounts on Family and 2 accounts on Duo for a €3 will absolutely push people to password share and abuse the system. And obviously the shared audiobook time is another kick in the teeth.

I was recently notified that the price for my premium plan will soon increase. This is ridiculous and greedy - Spotify is already making record profits. If I don’t get a better offer, Spotify will decisively lose my business and money to Apple Music. I have a 3 month free offer with them anyways, so this can be just the thing to push me over the edge. I’ve been with them before.
Spotify, do you really want to try and fail to milk out another $1.80 from me per month just to lose all my money altogether? Seems stupid. Quit being greedy. If my bill goes up, I’m done here.

All of the major streaming platforms will continue to raise prices, I’m afraid. Not saying I agree with it, but I understand it. It’s business. I am hopeful that the types of subs you can get, regardless of the provider, become more varied so you don’t end up paying for what you don’t use.
They will raise prices but I don’t intend to accept it. If they charge me more, they can lose my business. I contacted them and they told me to post here to get in touch with the relevant team for a potential better offer… still waiting.
Spotify posted a 4 billion dollar profit in the last year and it has the audacity to increase prices? I hear about artists getting **bleep** over and over by spotify, giving them fractions of pennies for individual plays, so you sure aren't increasing the price for their benefit. This is greed and nothing more. Good bye spotify. You will not be missed.

I've been on Spotify for years, and my credit card had to be replaced and I hadn’t yet updated it in the app, so they cancelled my subscription when the payment failed. When I went to correct it, the cost had been increased. How do I get them to charge me what I’m normally charged instead of gouging me?

Hello! So my bank decided to swap from mastercard to visa, rendering my debit card expired. That debit card was linked to my Spotify premium account so after a while the payment for the subscription failed. I understand that I received an email about this on the 24th of July and that they will try again "in a few days", but I was never informed that (I'm guessing after a certain period passes) there would be a price increase when I update my payment method. So I just updated my payment method and I got charged 10.99 leva as opposed to the usual fee of 9.99 leva that I have been paying since August of 2023... Does anyone here have info how I can revert back to my usual subscription fee? Thank you in advance!
