Help with Spotify premium duo

Help with Spotify premium duo

My partner created a new account because we thought that his spotify account is still in Canada. We were both for a year in canada. We are now back in Germany. My account says in the settings that I'm in Germany, his as well. I put the same address for us both in and after that he said we are not at the same address. "Looks like you are just trying to join Duo from another country. Duo is only available for two people living together. Try again if you are at the same address."
I tried it also in Canada one time, could this be the issue? But this time it is a new account for him. I'm frustrated...

Thanks for reaching out.

 

The usual reason for this error message is that the country setting on both accounts doesn't match. You can both check your current country setting at https://spotify.com/account.

Thank you Maxim for your reply. I checked it again and it is for both of us "Deutschland" = Germany. Do you have another idea what the issue could be? 

As I said we had that issue also in Canada, where I tried it for the first time.

Thanks for getting back.

 

You can try to open the invite link in an incognito or private window

 

Additionally, I also recommend making sure that the address you enter when accepting the invite is exactly the same as set in the plan. You can find some more info at https://community.spotify.com/t5/FAQs/How-can-I-verify-my-Premium-Family-Duo-address/ta-p/4908304.
