My Question or Issue

I am trying to subscribe to a premium family plan but when I type the home address (which is the exact address as the owner’s), it pops up this message: “there has been an issue please try again later”

Hey @nicoortiz240,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Just to clarify, are you trying to start a Premium Family plan or are you trying to join an existing plan?

Also, which plan do you currently have?

Let me know! 🙂

I am trying to join an existing plan: my mother's. I have a family plan (because I tried to add them to see if it worked) of my own but I am not using it since I'm joining this now one.

Hey again, @nicoortiz240,

Thanks for letting me know.

In this case, you'll first need to cancel your existing Premium Family plan and wait for it to end. Once it has ended, you'll be able to accept the invite 🙂

Some info on how to do that and how it affects your account can be found here.

I hope this helps!

I did that already; in fact, I changed to an individual plan which starts on the 24th. I that case, will I be able to start this new family plan starting from that day? Or should I do that from a Free plan?

Hey @nicoortiz240,

You should be able to accept the Premium Family invite when your plan has changed to Premium Individual, but it really doesn't make much sense to pay for an additional month of Premium. Going back to Spotify Free really makes the most sense in this case 🙂

I was thinking about doing that but I am afraid I might lose my playlists.

As stated in the support article that I've sent you in a previous post: "You keep your playlists and saved music when your account is free. You can also still log in and play with ads."

🙂
