How to stop MTS partner subscription?

Hi there!

I got Premium account from partner MTS in Russia and now i would like to create Family account. For switching on Family acc i had to become again a member with free account and thus I unsubscribed in MTS. But in Spotify I still have Premium account and it's forbidden to get Family acc (screen in the attachments).

 

I contacted MTS to be sure I did unsubscribe, and they confirmed they cancelled my Spotify subscription and said to apply Spotify support. It was yesterday, 20th of September.

 

So, how can i make Spotify know that i unsubscribe partner Premium acc for to change on Family acc? Or what should i do?

 

You may answer in russian if you want.

Thank you for the screenshots!

 

Since your subscription is managed by a partner (MTS), only they can cancel it and access the related information. 

 

Since the date is not available on your account overview, the best thing to do is to contact MTS again, since only they can tell you when exactly your subscription ends.

You should be able to reach them through the link you can see on the first screenshot you provided in your last response. 

 

If you canceled on the 20th, most probably the subscription doesn't get cancelled straight away, but the current billing cycle has to end.

Thank you for reaching out here in the Community!

As you've already mentioned, if you have Premium with a partner company (e.g your phone or internet provider), you first need to cancel with them, as you've already done, and wait for your current Premium to end.

You can find their details and the time your current Premium ends on your account page

 

Once your remaining Premium time ends, you can subscribe to Premium Family

That is what i mean. How long do i need to wait for my current Premium to end? On my account page there is no any information about time of subscription (i attached screanshot to main topic).

Just to make sure, could you open this page, make sure you're logged in with the right account and scroll down to Your plan?

Are you able to see the date there? I included a screenshot below.

Hello! I have the same issue! My MTS's Spotify premium plan ended 21.09.2021, I stopped my subscribe 18th of September. I want to subscribe to Premium Duo plan, but can't do it, because my "MTS premium still active", but MTS said me that my subscription was ended and I got SMS with approve it. Please help that. Thanks!

Please can someone help? I wish to cancel the subscription through MTS and update my payment details. If I'm in the UK how do I contact them? there appears to be no means of doing this unless I'm in Russia

Hi Alex,

 

Obviously that is the the thing to do, however if you read my post, they’re based in Russia and the only way to communicate with them is via an app, which you can only download with a Russian number. So, unless you have done this yourself I need an answer from someone who has successfully done this in the UK.

@andybtsn1 have you had any luck solving this problem? I´m actually in exact same situation like you. Outside Russia; activated through link from allkeycodes. Can´t register because I don´t have Russian number. 

Afraid not. It’s just a case of allowing the 4 months to run down I guess. I contacted the reseller and they have assured me I can set my own payment method after the trial runs out, we will see… Spotify were useless, they are the ones who partnered with the Russians!!

@andybtsn1 @zephyr2712 I'm in the uk aswell and i have the same problem, did you buy yours off G2A, if you did, MTS will either charge you after per month 169 rubles which is around 1 gbp or another thought is that they cannot charge you at all because your spotify account isnt linked to your paypal/bank, neither is the MTS, only G2A is linked to it which is trusted so hopefully one of the two is true.

I'm in the exact same position. Signed up with a key and now can't contact MTS because I'm in Ireland. Used a single-use VISA so I assume they won't be able to take further payment and I can't add a new payment method or cancel the sub. Also can't change location so my homepage is all in Russian  

My account has gone back to "free" 2 months earlier than it should have

Did you contact MTS or anyone to cancel it or it just canceled itself out without any action from your side?
