Listening at work

Listening at work

I work at a hospital in a procedure/surgical area. I was wondering if it is okay for me to use my account to listen on a small portable speaker in our procedure room where there might be three or four other people also listening. I am not supplying music for the entire hospital or even my entire department. Is that still considered personal use?

Hi there @Brensberger88,

thanks for reaching out !

I recommend checking out this support article on public/commercial use of the Spotify app.

Let me know if you have further questions 🙂

That's what I have read before but it is personal use while at work, I'm
not supplying the music for the whole hospital, or even my whole
department. I'm not broadcasting for a commercial reason just to have some
music in the room for my self and the others in the room.
I understand if I own a business and want music to play in the background
all day long I need a special licence or different subscription.

Hey @Brensberger88 ,

Thanks for coming to the Community.

Spotify is intended for personal and non-commercial use only. In your specific case, it should be ok since you don't generate revenue from Spotify. 🙂

Hope this clears things up!
