It'd be good for you to wait a few days and try with this new payment method again, also in a private/incognito window (there might’ve been a temporary connection problem), preferably with a computer.
If you're still experiencing what you reported even after waiting, it'd be helpful to get in touch with your payment method provider to double-check whether they authorized recurrent payments (such as the Spotify Premium renewal ones).
