I don’t know how else to message anyone.  I have a premium account where I am the owner, but I can’t stop my app from saying I don’t have premium.  I tried deleting the app and then reinstalling it even with a link that I sent myself.  Nothing works.


Two points:

1) why does this happen and how do I fix it?

2) why is it impossible to email Spotify about any of this.  It’s a paid service, but I am the one that has to try and find a solution.

When you head to https://spotify.com/account and log in, does it say that you're on Free or on Premium? 🙂

Hey @DanClark,

 

Thanks for letting me know.

 

In that case, you most likely signed up for Premium on another account.


I recommend checking your emails for a receipt from Spotify. Make sure to check your junk/spam folders too.

 

Once you've located the receipt, you'll find the username of the Premium account inside it. They're likely a unique string of numbers and letters. You can copy it and use it together with your password to log in.

 

Should you need to reset your password, you can follow the steps in this article.
