Really poor experience with customer service.

Really poor experience with customer service.

Long story short: I am stuck in a different country because of Covid and needed help to resubscribe to my paid account, but because my credit card country doesn't match the country I am currently stuck in, I am unable to pay for a subscription. I was told that I would have to wait potentially months to sign into Spotify in the US to be able to pay with my US credit card. 


I am also a student enrolled in a US university, but I am taking virtual classes because of the pandemic. Again because I am stuck in a different country, I was told I do not qualify for the discount anymore even though I'm enrolled. 

 

Left the conversation feeling unheard, a lack of empathy and an unsolved problem.

Can someone help me? Don't know where else to post.

Welcome to the Community and thanks for sharing this with us!

 

We understand how important your music is to you and that due to circumstances you're unable to upgrade to the Premium for Students.

 

Keep in mind that due to limitations on our system, it won't be possible for our support teams to enable this on their end. If possible, you can always check out other available options to upgrade to Premium, like gift cards.

 

 You can reactivate your student discount as soon as you are back home.
