Repaying subscription

Repaying subscription

I had a premium subscription and my payment failed so now I am trying to repurchase my subscription but it won’t allow me. It keeps trying to sign me up for the 3 month trial but since I am an already previous premium owner I can’t use the trial. I cant figure out how to repurchase my subscription without it setting the next payment date 3 months ahead and my payment isn’t going through because I can’t have the 3 month feature.

Hey @ryL15, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

Are you able to change your subscription here? If that doesn't work, what happens when you try to subscribe even after bypassing the free trial option? You can send me a screenshot of any error messages, making sure you hide any sensitive information.

Keep me posted.

No, it still won’t work. When I click on the link and try to get the normal plan it will just automatically set the next payment date for 3 months later even when I don’t click the free trial.

Hey @ryL15,

Thanks for your reply and for the screenshot shared.

In this case, we'd like you to try to subscribe from this link to check if you notice any difference. If that doesn't so the trick, make sure your payment method has sufficient funds, and is:

  • Registered in the same country to your Spotify account.
  • Not expired or canceled.
  • Enabled for foreign, secure online, and recurring purchases.
  • Opted into e-commerce and cross border payments.

If your payment methods meet these requirements, but the issue persists, try this:

  • Try entering your payment details again using a private/incognito window.
  • Get in touch with your payment provider, so they can check if everything is in order.
  • It might just be a temporary connection issue, so we advise you to wait some hours since your last attempt to try again as well.

We hope you found this helpful. Keep us in the loop!

Cheers!
