Spotify Premium Duo pauses play when my partner leaves the house

My Question or Issue

My partner recently signed us up for Premium Duo (I have never used Spotify before) and I am noticing that even when I am playing music from my own Spotify account, when she leaves the house (with her phone) it pauses play. I can't get it to play again consistently until she is far enough away from the house. Is there a way to fix this?

Hey @ninalee, thanks for reaching out to the Community!

In order for Premium Duo to work, both members must have their separate accounts connected to one plan. To do this, the plan’s manager (the one who signed up for Duo) can send an invite to the partner following these steps.

Once that partner receives and accepts the invite, their Spotify account will be added to your plan, and will allow music listening without interruption.
