Spotify gift card problem

I purchased a Spotify gift card, got home to redeem it and it said Unfortunately this Premium code does not seem to be valid. Try again or contact customer service. So I renterd the code several times again still said the same thing so I went to check my receipt to make sure everything went through at the store and the receipt said Activation Successful. I don’t know what else to do.
