Spotify student premium hulu account logged me out

Spotify student premium hulu account logged me out

Hi, 

 

I am subscribed to the student spotify premium which includes showtime and hulu. However, when I tried to go on hulu this morning, it logged me out and said I did not have a valid subscription. I checked my spotify account and it said hulu should be active. I have had hulu for the years now through spotify and not sure what is going on. Could anyone please help?

This is currently being investigated and we've merged all relevant threads into this one.

In the meantime, we'd like to know the following:

  • Does the issue persist across all platforms?
  • What is the error message you're getting?
  • Attach a screenshot if possible

In case you continue to see this error message when trying to activate Hulu, it's best you reach out to their support team as they're the folks who can look further into this and provide you with more insight on the matter.

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this. 
 

Can you please make sure that you're entering the correct credentials to log into Hulu? 
Note that you'll need to use your Hulu account details and not your Spotify account details. Once you did that - you should have no issues using Hulu again. 

 

In case the issue persists, you can also check out the steps at Hulu's help center or get in touch with their support team to get help with your Hulu account.

My hulu account suddenly stopped working. I have looked through everything I could and even contacted hulu to get the service back up but it still wont reactivate

signed up for the student deal with premium/hulu/showtime included and went to activate hulu but instead of it allowing me in it simply said it wouldn't recognize my email (same one i use for spotify). tried resetting my spotify password thinking i just typed it in wrong and it still wont work.

Every time I try to activate the Hulu subscription that is available through the student discount it reroutes me to a page that says "We could not complete your request right now. Please try again later." I have tried activating in chrome, an incognito window, and safari and nothing works.

Thanks for posting in the Community.

 

Could you try with a different device and a different internet connection as well? If you have a VPN, turn it off.

 

If the issue persists, could you share screenshots of the experience and the error, so we can get a better understanding of what is going on on your end?

I tried it on a different device with a different network and got the same message unfortunately. It gave me the same message saying it could not complete the request. I have attached a photo of the message! When I click "get help" it just takes me to a page with their paid plans.Screen Shot 2022-09-20 at 12.12.17 PM.png

For me, the issue persists across every device, browser, and network I try. I have attached a screenshot of the error message I get already in the thread above.

I still cannot figure this out.

I’ve been having this same problem for the past few days as my original student Spotify premium account was cancelled. After trying to reactivate my plan that I’ve had for years, Spotify is the only one that works Hulu keeps giving me this error message. How can i fix this problem as I'm not getting everything included in this premium plan and Hulu won’t let me reconnect back to my account
