Please Note: This chart was created by me for clarification purposes here on the Spotify Community. This chart is not endorsed by, or form any part of, official subscription information from Spotify. All details are correct at time of publishing.
As there have been a lot of queries about the features of each of the subscription tiers after the recent changes, I hope the table below offers some clarification.

2014-11-06: Spotify Unlimited is being phased out, as a result you may not be able to (re)subscribe to Spotify Unlimited.

Solved! Go to Solution.
thanks!
I think this is a shame personally. i only listen at work, and can now stream through my pc again, negating the need for mobile spotify. I have a **bleep**ty small htc which automatically saves songs to the phone, not to the extra memory, so i can't save songs for offline use. Unless spotify builds in support to manually choose where the songs are stored to (maybe they've done this) All i'm paying for is no ads. Booooo
It seems to be a trend, because Deezer discontinued their £5 p/m add free, PC only subscrition a couple of months ago. I guess they're all hoping that we'll spring for the more expensive Premium service to avoid adds, even though it adds little else, functionality wise, that we need. The Premium on Spotify does give higher bitrate audio over Unlimited to be fair.
The only service I found that still offers an Unlimited type subscription at £5 p/m is Sony Music Unlimited. The music selection, for me, is good but the web only interface is pretty terrible and there is no way to integrate your own music.

@aoifegreenham @passingbat - Spotify have made it more tricky to get Unlimited, but at least currently you can still subscribe to Unlimited if you know where to look.
Spotify have removed the option to downgrade to Unlimited, but as long as you are in a country where Unlimited was previously available, you can upgrade to Unlimited from Spotify free at the following page:
https://www.spotify.com/purchase/product/unlimited/?
If you want to drop from Premium to Unlimited, you need to cancel your current subscription before going to the link above.
Thanks for that Peter. I didn't know that and it is useful to know. It does make you wonder why it ian't offered as a standard option when joining.
It's a shame that they don't offer an option of PC only, no adds and 320kbps streams.
Great
That doesn't seem to work. We definitely had Unlimited available here.
Spotify gettin' greedy.

What will happen to those of us with an Unlimited subscription if it is withdrawn from our market?

If only that were ACTUALLY the case.

Are you saying that you have an Unlimited subscription and have been told you can no longer continue with it?
Let me tell you my experience in the last two months.
I have been a subscriber for Unlimited since 2011. I am basically a web user, not a mobile one, so happy with my subscription without ads during all this time. Last August my credit card was about to expire and I received message about this from Spotify and run to change the card information. I could not believe when I came to know that I was force to change to Premium, no way to select Unlimited anymore.
I had been in contact with Customer Service during these two months, they provide me different links, saying to try this or try that, and any of them could make my Unlimited suscription run anymore. Finally they paid for me a 2 months Unlimited coupon in order to have the time to investigate the issue, they asked me to contact again aftert that time, and if there is no solution, I should activate a Premium suscription and after that they will try to modify it to an Unlimited one.
I did yesterday the activation of Premium account, and messsaged the Customer Service telling so, in order they proceed to change it.
The reponse was that Unlimited is not available in my country (Spain) and they will pay me 2 months of Premium.
I feel really angry and cheated after all this time paying my suscription. Spotify has not even notify Unlimited users that it would disappear, they have used the tricky way of let credits cards expire and then get rid of them.
This only offers me the posibility of update payment mode, not to change to Unlimited back

If you go across my post above, you can see that I am at Premium because of indications made by Customer service.
What I am complaining about is that Spotify has not comunicated to Unlimited users that they will not be able to continue using their subscriptions in case they have to change the pay method. This is what seems tricky to me.

I had to update my credit card a couple of weeks ago. Because I pay by paypal, I just updated the CC details on Paypal and so far Unlimited is reniewing as usual.
Then I do not understand how can't anybody from Spotify update my customer's data to set it to Unlimited instead to Premium when I have updated my CC. They say is not posible.
Hum is this your spotify profile? spotify:user:elvialo
What can be done is a Super user can escalate this over and have it looked into by the spotify staff here on the boards but that is all that can be done really. Account issues are tricky and always require direct dealing with CS of spotify.
@Meredith is there anyway this can be looked into somehow for this spotify user?
You are correct, that is my profile. Any help will be welcome. Thanks a lot !!!
