Subscription scam and loss of money

Solved!

Subscription scam and loss of money

I saw a listing on carousell ( a social marketing platform ) saying that you just have to transfer $13 per person for a lifetime subscription and I purchased four accounts at a discounted price of $45. Its only been a month but four accounts were logged out today and are now no longer premium. I was unaware that this was a scam and thought that it was a different subscription method. What do I do now?

Hey @issamemario,

Thanks for reaching out.

Unfortunately, there's not much Spotify can do about this, since these purchases were not via Spotify.com. To prevent such thing from happening again, I always recommend purchasing Premium directly on https://spotify.com or a Gift Card in your local store (if available).

Hi there —

Thanks for reaching out. This definitely looks like spam, and you should never trust scams like this.

Spotify offers monthly payments, as a regular subscription, 3month, 6month, and 12month Subscriptions to use Spotify Premium.

I would suggest that you contact Spotify Support, so that they can assist you in this, and help you further. Again, I am so sorry for what has happened you.

Also, please don’t send in the community any sensitive information including emails, credit cards, receipt no., etc.

Cheers :)!
