Switched Free-Trial To Family Plan

Will my card still be charged after the free-trial period is over or is automatically cancelled since I am on a family plan now. I looked everywhere to try and cancel the trial subscription but I cant find it.

Hey @Azev, welcome to the community.

Hope you’re doing great!

If you're the owner of a Premium for Family plan, you can cancel any time. All members of your Premium for Family plan (including you) will revert back to the free, ad-supported service at the end of your current billing cycle.

Note: You can choose to downgrade to standard Premium on your subscription page, meaning all members will revert to the free, ad-supported service except for you. You will be charged the standard Premium rate at your next billing date.

If you are on a standalone Premium plan, you can follow these steps to cancel your subscription: https://support.spotify.com/account_payment_help/payment_help/how-to-cancel-your-subscription/.

Let me know how this goes 😊

Ok, didnt really help I just need a simple answer. I had a 60 day free trial from putting in my card, I then joined a family plan with premium. Will I be charged when the free-trial is over for the subscription I setup or not. If so I tried to find any place possible to cancel it but it says I am only on a family plan, nothing about a free trial.

@Azev,

Thanks for the reply!

Thanks for the clarification and the screenshot.

If you’re already subscribed to Premium when accepting an invite, all subsequent payments on your account are made by the plan owner.

Note: If you subscribed to Premium through another company (e.g. your mobile/broadband provider or iTunes), you need to cancel your subscription with them before starting or joining a Family plan.

Hope this helps 😊
