What happens if I remove someone from the duo plan?

What happens if I remove someone from the duo plan?

I shared Duo with my ex-girlfriend but I no longer want to continue paying for the subscription. But I don't want him to lose his playlists and stuff. When I remove her from Duo, does she still keep these things?

Hi @agustinchofy,

Thanks for reaching out to the Community! Sorry for the late reply, I just stumbled upon your post.

When you cancel your subscription you get to keep all your saved albums, artists, Liked Songs, playlists and podcasts, so no worries - her library will not be affected. The only thing that may be lost is any content downloaded for offline listening, since this is only available for Premium users, but she can always resubscribe and download it again.

You can manage your subscription on your account page.

Cheers!

Same question but from the other side. If I want to remove myself from someone else's duo plan and make my own individual premium plan, can I do so without losing my downloads and having to re-download everything?

Hey there @surlysara

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community!

We're afraid it's currently not possible. If you're in a Premium Duo plan as a member and want to subscribe on your own, you'll first need to leave the plan by switching to the free service. For more info, take a look at this article.

As @Yordan mentioned previously, you won't lose any of your content, but you'll need to re-download it since offline listening is a Premium feature.

Hope this clears things up. If you need a hand with anything else, the Community is here for you.
