You will not accept my new credit card which is accepted elsewhere,

You will not accept my new credit card which is accepted elsewhere,

Edward, I am in France and I have premium, I need to register a new credit card and you will not accept it, the card is accepted elsewhere, there is no help for this on your site.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

 

In this case, it's worth making sure your payment method has sufficient funds, and is:

  • Registered in the same country to your Spotify account.
  • Not expired or canceled.
  • Enabled for foreign, secure online, and recurring purchases.
  • Opted into e-commerce and cross border payments.

If your payment method meet these requirements, but the inconvenience persists, try this:

  • Try entering your payment details again using a private/incognito window.
  • Try with a different payment method.
  • Get in touch with your payment provider, so they can check if everything is in order.

It might just be a temporary connection issue, so we advise you to wait several hours since your last attempt to try again as well.

Trying to update to a new credit card but it keeps failing.  Spotify's convoluted menu system (address, name) cannot be seen/changed to see if that is the problem.  Spotify says it's my banks fault and are not helpful.   I've tried incognito and on different devices.

My Question or Issue

Trying to update to a new credit card but it keeps failing.  Spotify's convoluted menu system (address, name) cannot be seen/changed to see if that is the problem.  Spotify says it's my banks fault and are not helpful.   I've tried incognito and on different devices.
