cannot join duo plan

cannot join duo plan

Hello i am trying to join my boyfriend's duo plan, he joined yesterday, we both live at the same address, when i try to join and enter the correct address it keeps saying "there was a problem". please help

Hi there @laudescoteaux,

 

Thanks for your post here in the Community!

 

To begin with, go to your Account Overview page and check if you have an active Premium subscription right now. If you're subscribed to Premium Duo, Premium Family (as a plan owner), or Premium Student you can't join another user's plan as a member. In that case, you must cancel your subscription and wait until your Premium time finishes. Once it does, your account will go back to free, and you'll be able to join the plan.

 

If you're currently a Family plan or Duo plan member, cancel your subscription (your account will go back to free immediately) and try accepting the invite again. Bear in mind that plan members can only change plans once every 12 months.

 

Lastly, if you don't have a Premium subscription right now, try accepting the invite from an incognito/private tab on your browser, use a different browser, or try from a different device. Make sure you're entering the same address your partner entered when they created the plan.

I am having the same problem. The error after putting in the address says “there seems to be a problem”
