I would like to check with Spotify as I am a user who had a Spotify premium account prior to signing onto a year contract with my service provider (Singtel) and currently I am being charged twice, both on my debit card and also from my service provider.
I have checked on the subscriptions under my account and it states that it is with my service provider (Singtel) but I do not understand why I am still being charged by Spotify for my subscription.
Can I please be advised on any further actions which I can take to remove the account which is being charged by Spotify?
Thank you.
Nearly the same problem here. Double charged for the same account, paypal and visa. Having only one email address. My spotify account says paypal. So why am I also charged through my iTunes account via Visa?!
Hey @Cralence,
Thanks for reaching out and welcome to the community!
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with Spotify and being charged multiple times - this is not cool.
I would like to confirm something before I continue, are you being charged twice on the same day or are they payments going out on different days?
Thanks!
@li-kni if you could also answer the above questions - or to make it easier make another thread - thanks!
Regards,
Tom
When I get to the receipts portion of my account, it doesn't show me any receipts. I thought it would have reflected on my past payments but apparently it does not.
Any ideas how I can get across this issue?
Kind regards,
Clarence
Hi there Tom,
I am not charged twice on the same day, the payments are collected from me on separate days.
If my dates are correct, I signed up for Spotify Premium on 12th October 2017 (The first payment seems to be from that day from my bank account statement) and recently on 26th November with my service provider since they gave me a better discount.
If the dates are correct, I would have been paying for Spotify from 12th October to 11th November 2017 then the next payment would have been from 12th November 2017 to 11th December 2017. I was deducted a month's of payment on the 12th of November for my second month with Spotify and since I have signed up with my service provider, I do not understand why I am still being deducted for my monthly subscription fees from my bank account for my third month (12 December to 11th January).
Would you please advise on how I can try to solve the issue?
Thank you!
Clarence
Thanks for the info @Cralence,
Do you see both payments in your Receipts view in your account? https://www.spotify.com/account/subscription/receipt/
