why cant i pay with mobile in uk

why cant i pay with mobile in uk

I've been paying with mobile in the uk for a couple of years now. i cancelled for one month and now it doesn't let me buy a subscription with mobile. how can i get around this?

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. 

 

By paying with mobile do you mean that your Spotify was linked to your service provider? If so, then if you have terminated that service, the Premium which was connected to it would also be removed. But do not worry, your account and music are still intact, you would just need to re-activate a Premium subscription, you can check them out here

i cancelled on purpose and im trying to reactivate my premium membership but it doesnt show me the option to pay with my service provider anymore

Hi @n_es,

 

Thanks for getting back to us so quickly and for the clarification.

 

If the payment option isn't there we would suggest trying on another network, or alternatively if you are using a VPN, turn that off and try it again. If the payment option does not appear afterwards, it is possible that the option to pay via service provider has been removed.

Hi. Why would Spotify remove the option to pay by phone bill? 

I'm in the same shoes and thought I'd google it. They've just removed it. Probably people were running it through tax purposes like I was. If you think about it, it is rather odd you're paying for an external service through your phone contract. Probably tidier this way
