Automatic Pause 10 seconds into a song

My Question or Issue: For some reason most of the songs on my spotify automatically pause around the 0:10 mark, right around when the beat drops or the lyrics start. To get the music playing again I have to close spotify and re open it for every single song. Sometimes I'll press on a song and I won't even be able to play it, it's downloaded, in my playlist, and won't play.

This sounds odd indeed. Does it occur only for your downloaded songs in particular or for every song that you're trying to listen to?  As a first step, we can suggest you to log out and then to log back in, in the app twice in a row, as this triggers a refresh between the app and your account and may help to resolve any possible cache-related issues. See if this will make any difference.

If the above doesn't help, then please let us know what is the exact Spotify version you're having and also the specs of your device (like make, model and OS version).
