Can't get rid of recomended songs on free account.

My Question or Issue

Tried every way I can think of to lose the recommended songs on my playlist. I've got about 18 or so songs on my playlist. I like listening to THEM, not Spotify's recommendations. I have to listen to their ads, that should be enough. Can it be turned off or do I need to look for another app other than Spotify. (If there is one.)

Welcome to the Community!

On free accounts on Spotify, you can only listen to music in Smart Shuffle mode, which will shuffle content in your playlist and automatically add additional similar songs to your queue, so that you can discover more of the music that you like.

There is no way to turn this feature off. You can read more about the difference between Spotify free and the Premium features - here.

My Question or Issue

Recent limitations in the iPhone app can’t  play own inserted songs. For free accounts, playlists become radio without control. We listen to your advertising, the random choice of playback order, we also understand your economic objective but the limitations of use should be for advanced functions (text lyrics, preview, dinamic covers..) not to the basic reproduction of songs. It was one song suggested out of every three.. but now all music choices are excluded. It's just a limitation of use..!

I try to listen to my playlist but it only plays suggested songs that aren't in the playlist

after listening to one song from the playlist, it switches me from the playlist to a random song outside the playlist and this happens all the time

when i click on the song I want to here. It says spotify can not play the song and switches it to song that i do not really want to listen to, but after listening to it. it only plays for 10 seconds and then goes on mute.
