My Question or Issue

I saw a already open post about this topic but it got opened 1 Month ago and it didn’t got fixed.

I got the problem when I installed IOS 26.2 and still on IOS 26.3 Beta it isn’t fixed, I don’t know if you guys can fix it or if it’s an problem from apple with CarPlay.

I have the newest Spotify and IOS Version.

When I go to Library -> Playlists -> Any Playlist with more than around 50 songs -> loading for a sec -> showing „no content“ (in German: „kein Inhalt“).

But in the playlist there are songs.

I need to open my phone, go to the playlist and hit there play and it’s really really annoying.

I asked google and it said: „Its a bug that CarPlay can’t load this many songs.“ So I don’t know if you guys can fix it or maybe give a notification to apple because it’s such a annoying bug and it’s increasing the danger of an crash because people will look at their phone to change songs or a playlist.

(In Playlists with not so many songs the problem is gone ~25 Songs).

I already tried everything from redownloading, restarting my CarPlay Radio, restarting my phone, clearing the cache and restarting the app to reinstalling the app but nothing helped.

I hope you guys can solve the problem and I wish you a wonderful Christmas time 🙂

I have a similar problem with Spotify in CarPlay.
It stopped displaying individual songs in my favorites. The car radio displays a message translated from Czech as "Nothing here."
Other playlists that can be created manually display songs as usual. Even if there are over 100 songs in them.
I hope someone will solve this 🙂

I got my CarPlay working and I'm not sure which one did the trick: I went through my playlist and found one song that was unavailable (greyed out and unable to play it) and deleted it from the playlist. I also updated the Spotify app to the latest version that just came. After this I tested it in my car and was able to load the playlist.

I followed all your steps...nothing works! IOS 18.7.3, Spotify: 9.1.4.1171

Forgot to add that my Spotify version is now 9.1.6.1142

Same here : no update, only 2 of my 5 favorite playlist are not showing, I can play it but I cannot see the content on the car screen. Very annoying and a little dangerous. I think it's the playlist where I added synced files but not the ones "spotify only" songs.

I have 4 personal playlists with 50, 100 and two with around 300 musics. The problem happens with the Personal Playlists but NOT with the online ones suggested by Sportify (for example).

I tried all the suggested troubleshooting and additionally:

1/ Disconnecting and connecting again my iPhone to the car, and Carplay.

2/ Transforming the Playlist to just online and then putting them offline again

Nothing. It's really annoying and does not allow to use Spotify in full.

The problem already existed before IOS 26.2 so it is not a iPhone issue. It must be on Sportify side.

Please repair this asap.

Hey folks,

Thanks for all your replies here.

Remember to send us:

  • The make/model and OS of the affected device.
  • The exact Spotify version you're running.
  • All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.
  • Do you notice any difference when using Bluetooth compared to an AUX cable?
  • Do the affected playlists contain local files? If yes, have you tried removing them to see if that makes any difference?
  • Are there any unplayable/grayed out songs in the affected playlists? If yes, does removing them help?

If you're new here and you're experiencing this issue, try the tips mentioned by both @ch4ri0t  and @rewqrewq to see if you notice any changes. You can look for grayed out songs on the desktop app in the affected playlists.

We'll forward all this important info on to the right team.

We'll be around!

Spotify 9.1.6.1142

ios 26.2 / iPhone 17 pro

Hello,

Same issue with my liked songs. Talked to support and went through all the steps and finally decided to delete and reinstall. That shows my liked songs again but after adding the local files that did not work anymore and not displaying anymore.

songs are playing when selecting on the phone but this is very dangerous of course and needs to be resolved.

this bug seems to have happened after latest updates because this worked just fine before.

not adding local files can’t be a solution because this used to work.

Seems to be an issue with local files for displaying the lists in CarPlay.

I am experiencing something similar

I’m using Apple CarPlay. When I clicked Liked Songs in CarPlay it says “Nothing here”. But in the app on my phone I have over 600 liked songs

Hello

I am facing the same issue.

I already did these

Reinstall Spotify Empty Cache and Delete the Downloads from the Playlists Downloading the Playlists again Restart Carplay and Device, tried it with a Cable and with an Wireless Adapter

iphone 14promax, still on iOS v18.6.2

If we’re all facing the same issue but on different versions of OS and hardware. Might be a spotify issue.

I should add that before I never experienced this issue

  • Are there any unplayable/grayed outsongs in the affected playlists? If yes, does removing them help? No

I'm having the same issue

  • All the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far - I have tried all listed throughout
  • Do you notice any difference when using Bluetooth compared to an AUX cable? No

Hey @Maria and @AlejaR

iPhone 12, IOS 26.2, Spotify 9.1.6.1142

BMW 2025 Version

I do not have any local files in my playlists since ever. I tried everything @Maria pointed and does not change anything.

My Spotify playlists were playing just fine until some weeks ago.

I had the same problem and found the solution on another website because Spotify apparently can’t figure it out themselves. The issue was having any local files saved to the playlist. I removed the 5 local files and everything started working again. Hope this works for you all.

well it does not because I need my local files (warm up session to go sing at a concert for instance)

It’s the songs that Spotify took from its listing and don’t play any more. Took all. Problem solved

Just to report, i am facing exactly the same usual on the newest iOS en newest version of Spotify. Have been for ~1,5-2 weeks now
