Crossfade occuring between discs of double albums

Crossfade occuring between discs of double albums

Take the new "The Beatles 1962-1966 (2023 Edition)" as an example, linked below. This is a 2-disc album. Crossfade is enabled in the Spotify settings, but the songs don't crossfade as this is an album, which is correct behaviour. However, crossfading occurs between Disc 1 Track 19 "Yesterday" and Disc 2 Track 1 "Help!". This occurs on other multi-disc albums as well, such as The Smashing Pumpkins album linked below. This must be a bug as crossfading between discs ruin the intended flow of the albums.

Two devices I have tested, same behaviour on both: iPhone 13 mini running iOS 17.1.1 and Spotify version 8.8.88.445 & custom Windows 11 PC running Spotify for Windows (64 bit) 1.2.24.756.g7a7fc7f0.

NOTE: The web previews of these albums do not have this issue, they must be opened in the app.

Hey @Sodapop73,

Thanks for reaching out and kudos for your detailed post.

We've tested this on our end and could successfully reproduce the issue. It has been forwarded to the relevant team at Spotify, however we can't confirm when it will be addressed. In the meantime, please make sure to keep the app on all devices up to date.

Cheers,
