Does a song count as 2 plays if...

I start the song on one phone but connect it to my other phone's Spotify? So one phone for audio, one to skip stuff. Because a song I only played once appeared as having been played twice on statsforspotify

We can't share the exact info on how streams are counted in order to prevent manipulation. We encourage you to support your favorite artists by listening to their tunes in full.

It's not possible to guarantee the accuracy of stream count of any third party apps/sites that are linked to Spotify. You can leave a +Vote on this idea if you'd like to see that option in-app.

Why is accuracy of third party sites not guaranteed? They are linked to Spotify API and if their data is wrong, it is Spotify's fault.
