I have been looking through the entire website for over an hour trying to answer one simple question: did at the start of this year, Spotify wipe my entire listening history?!?!?!
My last.fm account had a glitch on an old phone so my data will always be inaccurate. I have paid and used Spotify since 2014, this account has been collecting my data 100% accurately since January 29th 2016 at least.
Now whatever website I use it seems like my entire listening history is forever gone and I am actually quite deeply upset about this. I'm autistic, obsessed with my statistics and I need them because I write about the music I listen to and I listen to so much music I forget what I actually listen to the most.
Plus it showed the artists that shaped my entire teenage years, I opened my account when I was 13 years old, I am 22 now and almost a decade of my history is suddenly missing and NOBODY is talking about it, or at least not that I can find anywhere online.
PLEASE HELP I know I sound over dramatic and desperate but my statistics were extremely important to me I check them every single day of my life now, my Spotify history had never changed before and all of a sudden my most played songs of ALL TIME are songs I just started listening to this year. It's all wrong & the artists have completely changed so dramatically my all time favourite, most listened to band 3 years on wrapped, band dropped 20 spots below an artist I've only listened to 100 or so times and I had THOUSANDS of listens on my favourite band.
Is there a way I can ever recover my data or is my entire history just lost for good now? It was bad enough having last.fm mess up on me and not being able to measure music I don't listen to via streaming so this has me in a bit of a rage. I will be kind to repliers though I just needed to get this off my chest!!!!
