I want a PUBLIC playlist that only me and my friends and I can all edit (collaborate). I wanted to share it publicly, but we don’t want other people to be able to edit it. Is this possible?

Thanks for getting in touch about this and welcome to the Community.

If you share a public, collaborative playlist with someone, or you add the playlist to your profile, any recipient will be able to edit it. Keep in mind that only public playlists are published to your Spotify profile, and all new playlists are published by default.

However, if you make your collaborative playlist private, and still want to share it with your friends, you can send its link from the app to give them view access. You’ll see their profile picture at the top of the playlist next to yours, and you can manage who gets what level of access by tapping on their picture and then on the 3 dots next to their display name. Note that shared links will expire after 7 days.
