If a local file is FLAC, the artist name repeats with a semicolon

Step 1 - In settings, "add a source" to include the FLAC files (mine are from bandcamp purchases)
Step 2 - Go to "your library" and check the added FLAC files. The artist name appears twice or more.

- I checked the local FLAC files & the artist name only appears once each in the fields "contributing artists" and "album artist". I tried updating the album artist field to be empty but still the same

This is making scrobbles inaccurate. Please take a look.

Any news about when this gonna get fixed? it is incredibly annoying.

Replace the Album Artist column data with the artist data. Spotify will read the Album Artist data as if it is the Artist data.

I'm not sure why things seem to be inconsistent here for me. I've got two different albums made with the same software. The tags for Artist are used in both, but one album shows the name correctly and the other shows the name twice, separated by semicolons.

Both albums are on my PC and phone with the same files, but of course the playlists made using the ones that ended up duplicating the name wouldn't work on my PC (or vice versa if I created the playlist on my PC the songs wouldn't work on my phone.) I went ahead and deleted the Artist tag from the files on my PC and put that data into Album Artist instead so now they're working on both.
