Inconsistent Menu Design: Shuffle Button Location (Android Mobile)

Inconsistent Menu Design: Shuffle Button Location (Android Mobile)

The shuffle button is hidden under the three dots when listening to Discover Weekly and on the main screen when listening to a play list. This disorganized, inconsistent experience makes the app difficult to use.

There is clearly room (see photos).

Additionally, please disable shuffle as the default in Discover Weekly.

Hi there @toddchi,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community. We'd like to take a closer look into this.

We appreciate your feedback when it comes to the shuffle button being in different places.

Can you turn the shuffle off and then pick the first song (or any song) from the playlist to see if it plays in order?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

Live, love, laugh and listen to music 🙂

Hi!

I fear that you're missing the point of my post.

Why do my menu options change when I'm listening to Discover Weekly versus a track in my own playlist. If you look at the two uploaded images, you'll see that the "like" button moves around the shuffle button goes away.

This is not about shuffle functionality, this is about user experience and design, which are causing confusion and displeasure.

Hi @toddchi,

Thanks for the clarification.

Here's an idea about having the shuffle button visible in the Discover Weekly (and Release Radar) Now playing view that you may find interesting, so feel free to check it out and show your support. You can also Subscribe to the thread so you're notified when there are any updates on the matter.

Cheers.
