Liked songs now grouping by release

Up until the weekend, when I went into liked songs for an artist it showed all of the sings I had liked and for the most part downloaded so I could start playing one song and it would shuffle all of them.

I did an update sunday I think it was and now suddenly I go into an artist and it lists the albums I have liked so I cannot then shuffle all tracks only tracks on that album.

For example Mammoth WVH has one album and one single from a forthcoming album. If I go into liked songs it shows both but if I start playing the single then it just repeat plays the single and conversely if I go into the album it ignores the single.

I found a few other topics on here which were similar but none gave an answer which helped.....

I'm also facing the same problem at the moment. Currently use Spotify primarily by Artist, by liking albums. Now there's no way to sequentially listen to all the liked songs under those albums unless the songs are all individually liked.

Are they going to change it back? Its pretty clear on here and other people I speak to that it is universally disliked and I see no reason why you cannot change it back???

I have this same complaint. Very frustrating when there are select songs and / or albums you like by an artist and want to listen to them all in one hit, when driving for example. Not everyone listens to playlists, some of us like to listen to select artists and now we can no longer enjoy doing so.

Add me to the crowd of frustrated users! I primarily listen to my music by artist and tend to favor whole albums over singles. I almost always like to shuffle all the music I have added to my library by an artist and can't do that now with the inability to play liked releases. I have had to start making my own playlists for each artist to make up for this lost feature (quicker than liking all songs individually). Please fix this, Spotify!!!

After the new UI change, the play button for your liked songs in the artist page is no longer there. I believe it's not intentional as the shuffle button is there, and it basically makes liked songs useless since you'd have to go into each album to play, which is already done better in the discography section. Also a little rant, with the new UI, if you wanted to shuffle all your liked songs starting at a particular song, you're unable to as it would just play that album. Horrible change and such an oversight.

 heres an example of the issue. As you can see in the top right, the shuffle button is there. What are you shuffling? Clearly nothing as you can't play anything.

I'm in the USA and I'm having this problem now too! I'm using an android phone, the galaxy s22 ultrs. It's terrible! I've had a Spotify subscription since 2016, and I've never had any issues until now! I'm about to be done with Spotify if this doesn't get changed back soon. This has always been the main way that I listen to the artists that I like. Now I can't unless I go through every album that I've liked over the past 7 years. It's ruined the way that I enjoy Spotify! I don't want to leave Spotify, but this feature change will be the thing that does it if it doesn't get fixed. If this really is a test and Spotify wants feedback, I'll give it. My feedback is don't change key features that have always worked well for the customer or you're going to lose customers. I talked to someone about a month ago about this change, and they had me logout of the app and back in. It was back to the old way for a few days, and then it did this again. I still have the chat messages in my email where I talked with them. Please let's fix this. I don't want to go somewhere else for my music, but I'm kind of forced to if I can't enjoy music the way that I like here

My Question or Issue

I used to be able to play all liked songs and albums from an artist on shuffle but it seems it only plays songs now. I don't want to have to like all songs from all the albums I liked individually. Nor do I want to have to add these albums to playlists that I'd have to create and maintain  myself "my liked songs and albums by X". Please bring this back. It also looks like a bug because even though the play button is missing, the shuffle one is present.

I have checked and this is the same behaviour that I am seeing in my app. Can you please share your app version along with device details like make, model, software version, etc.

NO offence but a year ago a moderator said this was a test by Spotify and another said they would get it looked at and not a blooming thing has happened.

If its an upgrade it is rubbish, if its a test then reverse it as you can see from here and other threads it is pointless and annoying.......

Nearly another month goes by and there has been at least one app update and still nothing.

I really am at a loss as to why with so many people disliking the change that it is not reverted to how it was and how it still is on the PC app. There seems no logic, I don't see how changing it back costs Spotify anything?

Dearest Spotify. As far as I can tell more people are unhappy about you removing the liked songs column and replacing it with a GREEN TICK column. For my purpose, I used the Green Hearts to keep track of my local artists and I could quickly see how much local music content I had in my playlists. I have lost my ability to do this. I am EXTREMELY UNHAPPY about this.

This is still an issue. If I add one song from an album to my library the hole album appears. Please fix this asap! Almost five years have gone.
