My Question or Issue

Hi all, I recently got a new phone and everything synced across nicely, apart from my local files on spotify. This worked on my old phone (iPhone SE, iOS 13.3.1) but this has stopped working on my new phone. I've googled this and tried everything I could find and nothing has worked:

- I reinstalled spotify on both my laptop and iphone

- Used my personal hotspot to ensure phone and laptop are on the same connection

- Checked the accounts are the same

- Tried re-allowing local content on my laptop

- Added the song to a seperate playlist to ensure it is download

- I bought the song via iTunes, so a legal copy

- Converted the file to MP3 (from M4A, although it worked before)

 

I welcome any and all advice as I am so frustrated at this!

Thanks for reaching out to the Community about this. 

 

It's good that you checked if you observe the same on your previous mobile phone. If this doesn't occur on a different device, we'd suggest making sure that your original device is up to speed with any software updates available.

 

We also suggest you change the source of the local files on your iPhone. Simply create a new folder in a different directory on your device and move your local files to this folder. Then just delete the old folder used for the local files. Now you can try importing the files again.
