Local files not working in "Favorites" list

My Question or Issue

I have improted a local file. However since recently it doesnt seem to work in my "favorites" list. In all of my other playlists I can play the song. I had a file in my "favorites" list before and now I cannot play that song either.

Any fix for this? Seems to be a fairly new issue.

Both the files that I could play before and am trying to play now are MP3.

I put local files into a playlist . The playlist songs are all playable . After a few minutes of playing a song within the playlist , it stops playing and all the tracks are greyed out . All the tracks remain playable within the local files folder

I have the same problem, the local files can play in  any playlist except in Favorites
I had reinstaled the application from scratch and it stills doesn't work

Hi all, for me it was an issue related with Smart Shuffle, disabling it allows to play local files in favorites again by clicking them and they also appear in the queue (for example disabling any shuffle), but with Smart Shuffle they cannot be played in favorites. Hope this helps narrowing down the issue

If you have smart suffle enabled disable it.

video aint necessary since its just maybe wrong coding. It works in every playlist but favorited songs. 

Edit: yea smart shuffle seems to F with it. Hows that still messed up.

Hey, I am also experiencing the same issue, I don't think it is a problem with a specific OS, as it happens to me on both my iOs and windows 11 devices.

Hey, does anyone have a bug when Local audio file works fine from local folder, but fully freezes the app if you add it to Liked to try to play from there? It also works fine from other playlists, only Liked throws this.

Happens on both PC and Android

I can play my local files on the local files folder but when i add these songs in my playlist it won't play and stuck.

I can play songs in the "Local Files" playlist in Spotify just fine, but for some reason they give me the "Spotify can't play this" error when I attempt to play them in "Liked Songs"

Confirmed that turning off smart shuffle fixes the issue on Android and Windows.

Spotify - will you fix the bug please? If it is not possible to play back local files with Smart Shuffle enabled, the app should tell you. Or if this is unintended, please fix.
