Local files randomly greying out on laptop

My Question or Issue

I have several albums downloaded as mp3s but some songs are randomly greyed out despite the rest of the album being fine. Anyone know what causes this?

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

We'd recommend you run a clean reinstall of the app, following the exact steps from this Guide. Make sure you delete all app data.

After that check if any Firewall is blocking Spotify and enable access for the app. You can also try to create a mobile hotspot from your phone and connect your PC to that network and re-upload those files. Some routers block or don't support protocols necessary for the successful upload of local files.

Also, make sure that there are no special characters like ',/,*,& etc. in the names of the songs and that they're named only with standard English alphabet.
