Public Playlists Not Visible Profiles

We're receiving some reports from users which noticed their public playlists have disappeared from their profiles. Additionally, there are instances where playlists, even when set to public, aren't visible on their profiles.

If you're experiencing this, we'd suggest you:

  • Change playlist visibility settings.
  • Clean reinstall the app.
  • Log in and log out twice in a row.
  • Clean the cache of the affected device.
  • Try a different connection.
  • Try a different device.

If issues persist, please share here the make/model and OS of the affected devices, the exact Spotify version you're running and all the troubleshooting steps you've tried so far.

Hello @Waaawuu,

Thanks for coming to the Spotify Community, I'll try to help you out.

Can you let me know if this happens for all of your playlists or just with specific ones? Also, can you check if they show on your profile from other devices (desktop, web player...)?

I'd also recommend trying to set them as public from a different device to see if this is an issue with your app. Just go to the chosen playlist > three dots button > Add to profile.

Hope this helps and keep me posted!

My Question or Issue

I've been at this problem for hours with support, going through the Spotify Community and all that but still haven't found a solution. My playlists have been up public for about a year, and everything was working fine until just recently...for some reason all of my playlists that are public and added to profile are not appearing on my profile when I view it. My friends can't see my playlists either. I've restarted both my laptop and mobile device, cleared cache, uninstalled the app and everything support has suggested and my playlists are still not there. They are all in my library though! I've even tried to private the playlist and set them back to public to see if it would fix it but it did not. I have the public playlist setting toggled ON for my privacy settings and they still don't show up. Any fixes?

I encountered a very strange problem. I wanted to join a friend's playlist, but when I clicked the link, an error appeared stating that the playlist was private. We tried this several times, and the playlist was indeed public and even pinned to his profile (on his phone). When I open his profile page on my phone or PC, the playlist doesn't appear for me, despite it being public and pinned to his profile. Even stranger, I appear in his playlist, but it's nowhere to be found in my account. Clearing the cache and reinstalling the app didn't help. What could solve this problem?

Teonix

From his POV I have already joined the playlist, but it's not showing up anywhere for me.

The exact same thing is happening to me

I managed to fix it in my setting under social, my toggle button was off
for “people can share the playlists you’ve added to your profile” both on
desktop and mobile. I hadn’t changed the settings until turning it on so
I’m not sure how it was turned off on both devices. Thankfully I had the
option to turn the toggle on. I hope this doesn’t happen to more people.
