Rerecording of Song put on iPhone playlist

My Question or Issue  I have The Crystals "He's a Rebel" on a playlist. When I listened to it today through my phone, it was not the original recording (which is what I had put in the playlist - and which is still showing on my laptop Spotify account) but a re-recorded version. My guess is that it has something to do with the fact that I downloaded the playlist and a DRM issue auto-substituted the other version?
