I have the same song in the queue more than 10 times. If I want to delete one of these tracks, all the other tracks are also deleted. The only option is that I keep playing the track and then delete the other tracks while playing the current track.
I have experienced this behavior on Android and MacOS. And I have also heard of this problem from other users
Hey @Aalfred, welcome to the Spotify Community! 🎵
Could you please share a screen recording of the issue? That will help me take a closer look at what's wrong. 🙂
Here is a screenshot of this problem. I did not manually insert the songs from OMD into the pipeline
In addition to my screen: If I delete one of the same songs, all songs are deleted
Thanks for the reply @Aalfred. Could you check if the issue exists on the web player? You can head over to open.spotify.com to try the same.
Does this happen on its own or when you add a specific song it duplicates into the queue?
Thanks für your message @Amay.
I have a playlist with 10,000 tracks. When I play this playlist in shuffle mode, I sometimes notice that the same track appears multiple times in the queue. I cannot recognize a pattern why this occurs.
Thanks for the response, @Aalfred.
In order to keep investigating, it would be very helpful if you could let us know the following additional details:
It's worth mentioning that although we can't be sure if this is the case, it is still possible that this behavior is influenced by the large amount of tracks in your playlist. On another note, there could be an issue with the playlist itself or the content in it.
If none of the abovementioned steps make a difference, you could test with creating a new playlist to see if there will be a difference. In the desktop app, right click on the current playlist > Add to other playlist in order to copy the songs to the new one.
Keep us posted.
Hi Ivelina,
yes, the same behavior occured today in this playlist: https://open.spotify.com/playlist/37i9dQZF1FbHq7ROCBPJYM?si=141d7c1f19f14d71. As you can see, the playlist only contained 50 songs. This time, the behavior occured in the Spotify-App on Windows 11 (without Bluetooth --> PC-Speaker). This time the songs "Body" by Topic and "Hit me where it hurts" by Elle Coves were in the queue more than once. I couldn't manually delete these songs from the queue either
Since i only played playlists in shuffle mode, I cant say, whether the behavior also occured without shuffle mode
I have never used spotify with a web browser
Hey @Aalfred,
Thanks for your reply.
To rule out any 3rd-party services causing this behavior, can you please remove access for all apps on this page? No worries, you can re-add them later if needed.
Let us know how it goes.
