Ok I have looked through a dozen of 'solutions' but not actually found anything that helps at all. I have premium, I listen on my andriod and computer and even when I go through my liked songs or playlists and tap a song I want to play and go from there it will not go to the next song because it's on shuffle. I have to turn it off every time and I'm getting really annoyed. I am not hitting shuffle play. I just want to listen to my songs and playlists in order sometimes and it really throws me off when I have to stop what I'm doing to turn off shuffle and start over.
I use my Spotify playlists to teach group fitness classes and it is very frustrating when I’m teaching my class because the class is choreographed to the music as I have it set up! It happens on my IPad as well as my IPhone! Please advise!
Hi there @Patt4,
Thanks for the post.
Can you let us know if this happens if you click on the first song in your playlist to start playback? How many songs play in order before they start shuffling?
Looking forward to your reply.
Hi @mrpunaway!
That's correct - the Shuffle toggle will be toggled on by default on all new artist pages, however, you can toggle it off on individual ones and the app will remember your choice. I go in a bit more detail about the feature in the pinned post here, so feel free to check it out.
Cheers!
Hey @7gn-_sh8oprhj,
Thank you for reaching out here in the Community and for the screen recording.
This looks a bit odd and we'll do our best to help you out here.
In your video we can see that you're streaming to an external speaker. Can you let us know what type of a speaker is it? If it has a separate app, it would be great if you can check if there is an option to turn off Shuffle on this app.
On another note, does this happen when you're streaming directly from your phone?
We'll be on the lookout for your reply.
Hi. You are correct i was streaming and now when I'm not it works fine. But still its odd
The speaker is Bang & Olufsen Beoplay A9 4gen
My collegues while using spotify doesn't face this issue.
Hey @7gn-_sh8oprhj,
Thank you for keeping in contact and for the info shared.
To continue investigating this issue, since it doesn't happen when you're not streaming from the speaker, would you mind trying with a different speaker to see if it makes any difference?
Also, it would be great if you could have someone log in with their account on your device - such as a friend or a family member, and pairing the same speaker to see if the issue persists. This will help us understand if it could be account-related or not.
We'll be on the lookout.
This is really pissing me off as well, and it's absolutely atrocious that two years later Spotify have done nothing to fix an issue that is REALLY aggravating their premium users.
Like HELLLOOOOOO?! Where's the customer service?!
