Shuffle setting not sticking with playlist

Until recently the shuffle setting woild persist for a particular playlist. This is good because I want to keep track of where I am for my Discover weekly but like to shuffle my own playlists. Now it keeps resetting to what I had in the previous playlist.

Thanks for posting in the Community and welcome.

Just to confirm, when you Shuffle a playlist, the Shuffle includes songs from the previous playlist you were listening to? If that's not the case, could you give us a more detailed explanation of the situation?

In the meantime, have you tried any troubleshooting steps to resolve this? If not, you can start by logging out and back in, restarting your device, reinstalling the Spotify app, and checking if it happens from a different device.
