My Question or Issue

Whenever I add two or more songs with the same album cover on spotify mobile, I only see one song with the album cover and the other song without it. On PC it looks fine and I can see them without issue but its when I sync to mobile that's when my problem comes. I tried updating the mobile app and that didn't work.

I also noticed that the song I add first always has the cover, but the songs right after don't have it.

If it matters I used the Groove music app on Windows to change the metadata to give songs their album covers.

Hey @TheDasher24,

Thanks for your last reply.

Just to confirm, is this happening with another mobile device?

Lastly, let us know if the issue persists even when cleaning the cache of your phone by following these steps.

Hey @TheDasher24,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community and welcome.

To start investigating this issue, we'd need more information. Could you tell us if this happens with just locale files or if it happens with our catalog as well?

Also, let us know if the cover is always shown on a specific song or if it's always on the first one. Lastly, include in your next response if it happens with all the songs that have the same album cover or if maybe it's with a specific album cover. With this we can take a better look at your issue.

We'll be on the lookout.

Hey there, this only happens on local files songs, not on the catalogue.

The album cover only appears on the first song, every other one doesn’t have it.

It happens on all songs from the same album except for the first one.

Hey there @TheDasher24,

Thanks for the post.

This seems like it could be expected behavior, since the mobile app would try to save data and increase performance by not loading all cover images, if they share the same cover image as the album.

You can try adding a couple of these songs to another playlist to check if they download and appear with the cover image on your phone.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi, I tried what you suggested and it's still the same, no cover image on any other song except the first one.

Hey there @TheDasher24

Thanks for your reply.

In this case, we suggest that you try adding the covers to metadata using a different software to see if that makes the difference. For more info, check this thread.

Let us know how it goes.

Hi, I tried using VLC and Windows Media Player and nothing has changed, no solution yet

Hey there, thanks to this it's fixed!
I tried with another mobile device and I was able to see all of the album covers so I tried cleaning my phone's cache and it worked.
Thanks.
