Specific Artists’s Songs Added to my Liked Songs Automatically

I noticed that all of Martin Garrix’s songs since a few years ago have been added to my liked songs when they are released. I remember doing some pre-save thing and since then the issue has been happening. I didn’t mind but I think it’s start to mess with something because I’m only getting recommended his music and others like it which I don’t enjoy. I get I could just go and remove them but it’s a hassle and I don’t want to continue dealing with it.

Hi there @mendozadiego3,

Thanks for reaching out.

The app cannot do something like this off its own volition. What exactly is this "pre-save" feature that you're referring to? Where did you find it? Please let us know and provide us some screenshots of the behaviour so we can see exactly what's happening. In the meantime, check these steps, they might be able to help.

Keep us posted.

There is one artist that every time they release a new song, it gets added to my liked songs even though I don't really listen to them. Its all music that I haven't listened to and I even went on the profile and set it to do not play but each week I have to check to make sure that a new song isn't added. I know that its not Enhance, Smart Shuffle, or an app with permissions. Does anyone have any clue as to what might be causing this and how I get it to stop?

Hey @RichterImp,

Sorry to see you've been struggling with this!

In addition to what @Joan has mentioned in his reply, I'd make sure to doublecheck all my third party accesses via this support page here. Any similar behaviour I've seen in the past has had a third party service responsible, so this is definitely worth taking another look into. Any apps you'd like to keep can be re-added later, so it's a good idea to remove all of them and to see if the issue remains.

Tip: After revoking all third party accesses, make sure to also clear your cached data as shown here.

Hope this helps! Keep us posted on how things go 🙂

As I stated above, I checked and it is not an app with permissions. I have already checked that and made sure it was only apps that I wanted to have it. This was something that happened about a yearish ago and has been happening constantly since.

Hey @RichterImp,

Thanks for the reply!

If you've already checked the app permissions, another thing worth trying is logging out of any other devices you might have used - TVs, consoles, etc. We'd also recommend performing a clean reinstall of the app to make sure you're running the latest version and to remove any damaged cache, as well as logging out and back in a couple of times in a row to make sure everything's synced.

Hope this helps.
