Spotify AI Non Existent?

I've been using Spotify now for years... one thing that has irritated me countless times that is pushing me to just switch is the AI.

I can do something simple like play Video Game music.  It will play from my Library or a Playlist what I have saved and once it is done, it will play what it thinks is 'similar' music.  99.9% of the time, it starts to play movie soundtracks that have nothing to do with the music I was playing.  What gives?  Is there really any AI, like the Pandora platform, that knows similar themed music?  I have a lot of friends that complain about this very topic all the time with Spotify.
