Spotify keeps downloading files several times.

My Question or Issue

My Spotify needs to download files every time so I can use these files offline. It starts to download all of my files (more than 2000 songs) on an on again. It is a very disappointing issue, because I have to download a file that was already downloaded before and, sometimes, I simply can't play the song because it is not downloaded anymore and I can't download at that moment.

Thanks for reaching out about this in the Community!

We'd recommend you run a clean reinstall of the app. This will assure that you're running the latest app version and all app data and cache is cleared. Follow the instructions from here.

Corrupted cache can result in issues like this. 

If after the reinstall this keeps happening try changing the location of your downloaded songs from the Setting menu.
