My Question or Issue

I primarily use Spotify through my web browser( Opera GX), and when I place more than 10,000 songs on my liked song list it no longer plays. Attempting to play the liked songs list at this point will result in a "this content is not available" message.

Hey hey @cafcmike!

Thanks for reaching out. This sounds a bit odd and we'll do our best to help you out here.

Can you let us know if you've already tried to log out > restart your browser> log back in two times in a row? It sounds a bit strange but it forces a sync between the account and your device. We'd also ask you to try this on the desktop app and your phone where you're trying to use Connect.

If that doesn't do it for you, we'll need to know if everything works as indented when you try playing a smaller list?

Keep us in the loop here.

Have tried logging out and restarting twice in a row, no difference. Have tried many different devices. The liked songs will not play. I just removed a bunch of them to get it down to 9,999 songs, and it plays just fine.

Hey @cafcmike,

Thanks for your reply and confirmation.

Having large playlists can have an impact in the app's performance such as in this case. To avoid this, we suggest splitting your Liked Songs into smaller playlists to ensure an optimal performance.

Hope this clears things up. If you need anything else, the Community is here for you.

Cheers.

Sorry but that's ridiculous. Why 'remove' the 10,000 song limit if we can't actually play them once we reach that number?

Hi @cafcmike,

Thank you for your reply.

We understand where you're coming from and would love to have some information to share. At the moment, we're investigating this behavior backstage and will return to you as soon as you have any news.

We'll be on the lookout.

This issue still exists, just so you know.

Its been over a year since I made this post, so I don't think they're ever gonna fix this. Windows media player lets me have all my music in a single list that works with no issue. I see no reason why Spotify cannot do this too.

I Have over 11,000 songs on my liked songs I cannot play it on my browser but I can play it on my phone fix it so I can play it on my browser so I can continue to add songs to my playlists and not guess what I'm adding to my playlists

I get this error ONLY when attempting to play my Liked playlist through my Google Nest speakers. Doesn't matter if I'm using the mobile app or desktop app. This playlist plays fine in any other scenario (phone speaker, computer speakers, car, etc). And I can play any other playlist on Nest speakers, just can't play Liked.
