My Question or Issue
Has been happening for years - I keep finding that songs that I know with certainty I have added to my library (songs I have Liked) are getting un-liked/removed from my library. This undermines my confidence that the library I've curated is complete. Is there a way to stop this from happening?
its been 5 years on this thread alone. If anyone needed proove that all these "product managers" that are all about "user experience" at spotify are kidding themselves, this is it. Spotify users curate their playlist over years, like for me personally close to a decade now. Maybe its just me, but I care about my songs, they are important to me, is that really unreasonable ? And yet I know that all the time, songs disappear from my collection, lots I will never find again.
Call me crazy but this is unacceptable ? Get it together Spotify.
To think that a multibillion dollar tech company can't adjust their data model to account for an extra object of "song" and "uploads of that song" to maintain the user experience. Truly amazing.
Yeah I just wish there was a place you could still easily buy songs one at a time and own them. Amazon's mp3 system is terrible because you have to, like Spotify, do everything through their player. Why would I trade Spotify player for Amazon player?
I found a soltution. Stop paying them for poor service. I'm going to find another service.
I did wonder if there is a way to escalate this higher up the chain but I already tried to get in contact earlier and didn't get anywhere.
This has had happened to me. I had gotten an offer from Spotify for a free Google Mini (4-5 years ago?) and I swear for the life of me that when I was connecting it, it said in the conditions that it can remove songs at will. It said I could change it but when I tried to change that I couldn’t find the setting. I always thought that this is the reason and I constantly forget to look continue looking into it but now I’m curious— do you guys also have the free Google mini?
