Wrong song

Wrong song

Sorry guys, I can't even explain the problem and I don't know what might have caused this confusion, but the link where I usually found Timbaland - The Way I Are till yesterday today leads to a completely different track:

In the search I find all the items of The Way I Are and the title is in Timbaland's album Shock Value and seems to be correct. This is my try from a browser, Firefox, I also tried on the app in the same playlist where I've added the song months ago and it seems to be okay:

Could you please help how this could be solved, is it because of cache or sth? Thanks in advance!

Hi there @Likey,

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

This can absolutely be due to the cache. Can you clear your cache and cookies to see if the issue persists? If it does - can you try from a different browser?

We'll keep an eye out for your reply.

Take care!

Hey and thanks for your help. I tried cleaning the cache, it's all good with it, but the song is still there showing Common, Dwele - The People. I have to say I have no idea what it is and I see those folks for the first time ever 😄 - so, I haven't saved them in any playlist or listened to them. I'm almost sure The Way I Are isn't deactivated because it's available and isn't in dark. I tried to play it and the few first seconds appear to play well, but it all stops on the beat (about 8th second). Also, in the app, where all keeps being okay and the song keeps appearing as it is (The Way I Are) there is an error 'Spotify can't play this right now, but you can import the song' or something like this, I can't reproduce it anymore - it doesn't show.
Here's the browser screen (I tried on Edge too, it's the same):

...and this is the view from the app:

I don't mind if I can play this song right now or not, but it's a real confusion I have no idea about. Hope this will help somehow in order the problem to be solved by the Spotify crew 🙂

Edit: In the app I somehow played it from start to end successfully after about 10 tries.

Hey again @Likey,

Thank you for getting back in touch with us and for the troubleshooting you've done so far 🙂

We'd like to have a closer look into this.

Can you provide us the URI from your desktop app and from your browser so that we can check this directly from our end?

We'll be on the lookout for your reply.

Cheers!

Yeah, sure. I can't actually provide you all the URI-s because when I type in the search bar Timbaland - The Way I Are, any of them point to the cover art and artist & name of Common, Dwele - The People. Here you go, 2 examples:

https://open.spotify.com/track/2bLqfJjuC5syrsgDsZfGmn

https://open.spotify.com/track/0CRJioCflddFvP2SLKZRyS
However, when I try to search for Common, Dwele - The People, the track which appears when I put The Way I Are on a playlist in my browser, I get nothing as a result:

Respectively on the browser and app, on the app it seems to show. I tried even on another machine and the browser there - same thing happens. I noticed some cover arts of tracks were changed in Monday, and this track also has this strange kind of problem from Monday. Here's the URI for Common, Dwele - The People:
https://open.spotify.com/track/3r7WTNjlxxTXParQCQeGZ8

Also, when I tried to reach the URI for the last song on browser (I copied it into the search bar of Firefox), I actually got there and it shows the right title and the right cover art:

I notice now this track is also from 2007. I tried to add it to the same playlist as The Way I Are, without any image edits of the playlist, here's what happened:

https://open.spotify.com/track/2bLqfJjuC5syrsgDsZfGmn

https://open.spotify.com/track/3r7WTNjlxxTXParQCQeGZ8

These are the 2 URI-s and they're different.

Hope this helps 🙂
